EVALUATION OF AN ANTISURGE CONTROL THROUGH NONLINEAR MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROLLER

This work is an evaluation of the performance of an Antisurge control system implemented with the control algorithm of the Nonlinear Prediction Model in relation to the performance of the Proportional-Integral control algorithm configured by the Frequency Response Method. We also analyzed the performance of the controllers in relation to a disturbance in the system's output, simulating the occurrence of the Surge phenomenon. Through the simulations results it was possible to verify the characteristics of each controller and identify its advantages and disadvantages.
