A brief analysis of the textual theory of Edward Said and PaulRicoeur demonstrates clearly that their positions regarding this topic are diametrically opposite. In this essay we try to put in evidence that the origin of these divergent positions is due to their differences with respect to the concept world. In other words, it is in function of a certain apprehension of the concept world that the text, according to them, would acquire a certain Meaning.
